Mrs. Balian is a licensed Speech and Language Pathologist with over 10 years of experience working with pediatric and geriatric populations in private practice, school settings, and in-home health.

Mrs. Balian’s passion for patient care led her to co-found Harmony Speech Therapy & Diagnostics in 2016. In her practice, Mrs. Balian provides evidence based, individualized, and culturally sensitive therapy, offering high-quality therapy to every patient and family.  Mrs. Balian’s aspiration for creating a multidisciplinary practice, where each discipline works in harmony with others, has guided her professional career. Being a multilingual clinician, Mrs. Balian provides therapy in English, Eastern and Western Armenian, and Spanish. She excels in her interpersonal skills and ability to make lasting connections with patients and caregivers.

Mrs. Balian takes pride in her extensive involvement and outreach domestically and abroad.  She and her team have provided free-of-cost speech and language screenings for preschool and school-aged children, and conducted extensive trainings and seminars for families and professionals.

Mrs. Balian received her Master’s of Science in Communications Disorders from California State University, Northridge and Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from University of California, Riverside. She is a California State Licensed Speech Language Pathologist and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA. Mrs. Balian is trained in Fluency, Dysphagia, Cognition Therapy, and has extensive knowledge in treating Autism Spectrum Disorder, communication disorders and delays in early intervention and school aged children. She is a certified tele-practitioner and continues to broaden her knowledge of the field of speech and language pathology.

Mrs. Ashekian is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with over twenty-five (25) years of experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and pediatric populations through private practice, as well as in Regional Centers and School District settings in California. She is the co-founder of Harmony Speech and Language Therapy & Diagnostics. Between 2013-2019, she also worked at the Exceptional Children’s Foundation (ECF).

A multilingual Speech Language Therapist, Mrs. Ashekian has diverse experience specializing in pediatric speech language disorders and delays, ASD, early intervention, and special education in multicultural settings.

Her advanced interpersonal skills in engaging both patients and caregivers in the therapy process have endowed Mrs. Ashekian with the reputation of a dedicated and highly sought-after professional who immediately gains the parents’ and children’s trust, alike.

A seasoned professional, Mrs. Ashekian has extensive involvement in community outreach and volunteer activities both at home and abroad.

Mrs. Ashekian received her second Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the California State University at Northridge (CSUN). She is a California State Licensed Speech Language Pathologist and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA. Mrs. Ashekian is Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC)-trained, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS)- certified, and a certified tele-practitioner.
